Professor, Victoria University, Australia.
Research field:Computer science, quantum computing, AI, emerging technologies & mathematics, and their applications in different areas.
Prof. Sardar M.N. Islam has lived, studied, worked and travelled (extensively) in different countries over a long period of time. In his research, he has undertaken rigorous scientific studies of universal and emerging issues in several disciplines. Currently, he is a Professor at Victoria University's Institute for Sustainable Industries and Liveable Cities. He was a Professor of Business, Economics and Finance from 2007 to 2017, and has had many years of academic work experience in teaching, supervision, and multi-disciplinary research. He has published extensively across a broad range of disciplines. His research has attracted international acclaim, leading to a number of appointments as distinguished visiting professor, visiting professor or adjunct professor in artificial intelligence, accounting, industrial engineering, finance, economics and management in several different countries. Professor Islam has also received a many invitations to address international conferences as a keynote speaker. He has published a large number of research books in artificial intelligence and digitalisation, game theory, operations research, supply chian management, accounting, finance, business, economics and law. Each of these books makes significant scientific contributions to the literature. These books are published by prestigious publishers and the majority of his books are published in highly regarded book series.
Thomas Hanne

Thomas Hanne received master's degrees in Economics and Computer Science, and a PhD in Economics. From 1999 to 2007 he worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITWM) as senior scientist. Since then he is Professor for Information Systems at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and Head of the Competence Center Systems Engineering since 2012. Thomas Hanne is author of more than 230 journal articles, conference papers, and other publications and editor of several journals and special issues.

Real-problem-driven model development to solve complex decision-making problems in sustainable supply chains, reverse logistics, location and network design, service systems, scheduling, and smart manufacturing and logistics in Industry 4.0/5.0.

Dr. Hao Yu is Associate Professor and Program Leader of Industrial Engineering (MSc) at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. His research interests are real-problem-driven model development to solve complex decision-making problems in sustainable supply chains, reverse logistics, location and network design, service systems, scheduling, and smart manufacturing and logistics in Industry 4.0/5.0. These optimization/simulation models can be used to minimize carbon footprints and environmental risks of logistics systems, improve the accessibility and cost efficiency of service networks, locate the charging stations for electric/hydrogen vehicles, autonomously configure reconfigurable manufacturing systems, improve the lockage efficiency of a water conservancy project, and so forth. He has led or been a key member of 10+ international projects funded by the Research Council of Norway, the Directorate of Higher Education and Skills, Innovation Norway, Nordplus, and EU and EEA Programmes. He has authored and co-authored 50+ scientific papers with 1500+ citations and 18 H-Index. Currently, his research focuses on the combination of predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, and descriptive analytics in an Industry 5.0-enabled Smart Digital Logistics Twin that can be used in, for example, reverse logistics, humanitarian/ epidemic logistics, and smart manufacturing/ remanufacturing systems.
Manoj Kumar Paras

Dr. Manoj Kumar Paras is working as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Fashion Design. He has completed PhD under Sustainable Management and Design for Textiles programme from The Swedish School of Textiles, University of Borås, Sweden. He has worked in the industry and has been an academician now for 12 years. His research interest includes Design Research, Sustainable Design, Redesign and Upcycling. He has presented his research in various national/international conferences and published in journals such as Sustainability, Journal of Fashion Marketing and Management, Research Journal of Textile and Apparel, The International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer Research, Supply Chain Management, Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Journal of Global Operations and Strategic Sourcing, International Journal of Value Chain Management and Man-Made Textiles.
